We're hiring 2 Sawmill Laborers for our client in Portage! If you're looking for a steady daytime schedule with three-day weekends most weeks, this is a great opportunity to join a safety-focused team in a hands-on production environment. These positions pay $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience and are temp-to-hire.
This is an active role that offers the opportunity to work both indoors and outdoors, develop valuable manufacturing skills, and be part of a team that keeps lumber production moving efficiently and safely.
Typical Daily Duties:- Placing stickers between layers of lumber
- Lifting, moving, and stacking boards throughout the facility
- Assisting with clean-up, utility work, and general sawmill operations
- High level of safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
- Strong teamwork, communication, and listening skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout a 10-hour shift
- Coachable attitude with the ability to take direction from supervisors
- Reliable attendance and strong dependability
- Previous sawmill, manufacturing, lumber, or related experience preferred
