This is a volunteer role seeking an individual to run a weekly Men's Mental Health Peer Support Group at Save A Life Recovery Resource Center. The volunteer will facilitate weekly group discussions, provide emotional support, create a welcoming and non‑judgmental environment, and maintain a consistent schedule for group meetings. This is an on‑site position, located in Lincoln, ME. Volunteers will work closely with the Save A Life team to contribute to the recovery and mental health of individuals.
Qualifications- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and empathetic interaction
- Willingness to volunteer
- Experience in group facilitation, conflict resolution, or peer support roles
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment
- Knowledge of recovery principles, substance use prevention, or similar areas is a plus
- Dedication, dependability, and a commitment to serving the community
