OverviewThe Weekend Coordinator reports to the Manager of Clinical Operations and is responsible for supervising the Agency's service programs and patient care activities during the weekend and after hours. The coordinator maintains and promotes quality patient care in accordance with Agency objectives and policies.
ResponsibilitiesBS in Nursing; MSN, MS in Healthcare Management, or Public Health desirable. B.S.N., current Connecticut R.N. license, and three years of full‑time clinical experience in nursing, at least one of which was in a home health agency that included care of the sick.
ExperienceThree years of full‑time clinical nursing experience with two years in home health as a community health nurse.
LicensureRegistered Nurse with a valid (or eligible) Connecticut license required.
Special SkillsExcellent oral and written communication. Knowledge of home care practices.
Physical DemandMust be capable of standing, walking, bending, handling, sitting, carrying, lifting, and pushing/pulling with whole body and arms on a frequent basis. Squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching occur occasionally. The highest physical demands include transferring a client requiring maximal assistance of one or more persons, such as side‑lying to sitting, sitting to standing, or lifting from chair, commode, toilet, or bed.
Loads up to 70 pounds may be lifted or forces exerted for a client weighing up to 220 pounds with a height range of 15‑36 inches. Clear vision and accurate hearing are required.
