Position: Registered Nurse ($15k Sign-On Bonus!)

Bonus amount:
Up to $20,000 for Registered Nurses with 2 or more consecutive years of RN experience. Up to $10,000 for New Graduate Registered Nurses. Bonus information:

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

Location:

Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME

Full‑time | Nights | 7 p – 7 a | 12‑hour shifts

Job responsibilities include: delivering direct, high‑quality patient care to adults with cardiac conditions in the CCU; utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to monitor cardiac status, respond to changes in patient condition, and implement evidence‑based interventions; collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team; directing patient and family education; supervising other nursing personnel; and ensuring CCU standards of care, patient safety, and confidentiality are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care to adults in the CCU, including monitoring cardiac status and implementing interventions.
  • Apply the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor and respond to cardiac monitoring, vital signs, and changes in patient condition.
  • Communicate promptly with physicians and healthcare teams regarding clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac disease processes, treatments, and care plans.
  • Supervise and collaborate with other nursing personnel, maintaining CCU standards of care.
  • Document all care, interventions, and patient observations accurately while maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
  • Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
