Role
The Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
ResponsibilitiesAssess patient conditions, monitor cardiac telemetry, administer medications, prepare patients for procedures, document care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, advocate for patients, manage multiple patients, ensure infection control, and facilitate discharge planning.
Qualifications & SkillsRequires at least one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS certification. Preferred certifications include NIHSS and ACLS. Must possess strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Physical, motor, sensory, and mental abilities are essential for safety and effective care.
Key DutiesExplain treatments, monitor patient responses, ensure safety standards, document accurately, collaborate with care teams, prioritize patient needs, and adhere to hospital protocols.
