Woodlawn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center offers specialized professional levels of care and support for our residents including Short-Stay Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Care, and Long Term Care. Our services are delivered by an experienced, thoughtful, and professional staff who follow evidenced based and clinical best practices to help promote health, safety, and a commitment to providing the highest level of care. An every weekendscheduling option to CNAs newly hired in the Nursing department on a limitedbasis. Employees must make a commitment to enroll in the program for twenty-six(26) consecutive weekends (six months). During this period, the employee willbe scheduled to work a minimum of three (3) twelve (12) hour or two(2) sixteen (16) hour shifts per weekend.

Forthe purpose of defining this program, the “weekend” begins on Friday at 6:30amand ends on Monday evening at 7:00pm.

ACertified Nursing Assistant’s

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feedingpatients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients;and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Maintainspatient stability by checking vital signs.
• Provides patientcomfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients;answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observationsof the patient to nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintains workoperations by following policies and procedures.
• Protectsorganization’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Serves andprotects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards,hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations,and maintaining licensure.
• Enhances nursingdepartment and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities toadd value to job accomplishments.

CNA Requirements:

• Mustbe a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program andon the Maine CNA Registry.
• Ableto work scheduled shifts, committing to being there for your team and Residents.
• Mustbe able interact our computer-based Electronic Medical Record system.
