Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Lincoln, Maine, 04457!

Job Title

Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Nights (7p–7a)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments and reassessments throughout the shift, identifying priorities for nursing care delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders, executing appropriate nursing actions to meet patient goals.
  • Communicate patient care activities, current status, and changes in condition to all members of the healthcare team, including participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding.
  • Administer medications correctly utilizing the five rights, evaluate patient responses to medications, and utilize appropriate drug reference sources as needed.
  • Complete discharge assessments and planning, ensure patient and family understanding of the discharge plan, and perform follow-up calls to patients as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe physical environment, ensure supplies and equipment are available and in working order, and participate in emergency and disaster preparedness planning and response.
Required Qualifications
  • Current, active Registered Nurse license in Maine or a valid compact state license.
  • Current, unexpired BLS certification.
  • Required immunizations:
    Varicella (2 doses or titer), Hepatitis B (3 doses, titer, or signed declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, and PPD two-step test or titer within the past 12 months; flu shot required during flu season.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of nursing assessment and clinical skills applicable across all age groups.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role including standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers, and maintaining visual and hearing acuity sufficient to assess patients.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current, unexpired ACLS certification preferred.
  • Prior emergency department nursing experience with demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients.
