Put your clinical expertise to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department where critical thinking, autonomy, and teamwork make a difference every shift. Care for diverse patient populations, manage high-acuity cases, and continue growing your skills alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
ResponsibilitiesAssess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols.
Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life‑saving interventions.
Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered.
Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization.
Operate and monitor emergency and life‑support equipment.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
6. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):1. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
2. EDAP certified facilities:
Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
3. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.

Pay TransparencyBridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
