Job Summary
Geisinger Convenient Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Berwick, PA.
Job Duties- Diagnose and treat common medical problems such as sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections, and more.
- Perform routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.
- Work autonomously with limited administrative burden.

Yes - Recruitment incentive: $20,000 (with a 30‑month work commitment)
- Attractive schedule: 14 rotating shifts per month, no overnight shifts, no mandated additional shifts.
- Compensation package includes a $10k recruitment incentive, 401(k) retirement plan, CME, relocation, and more.
- Advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older, and have at least six months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care experience.
- Physician Assistant candidates must complete an ARC‑PA (or predecessor) approved program, hold current NCCPA certification or be eligible, and be licensed in Pennsylvania.
- Nurse Practitioner candidates must hold a certificate from an approved NP program or be eligible for national certification allowing work with the patient populations and settings of this position, and be licensed in Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor’s Degree – Physician Assistant (Required)
- Master’s Degree – Physician Assistant (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA (for NP)
- Care management knowledge
