American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - OR Circulating Nurse for a day shift position at a small community hospital requiring call coverage and multi-service line experience.
Details- Operating Room setting within a 100-bed community hospital
- Circulating RN role supporting surgical patients at a 1:1 ratio
- 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, four 9-hour day shifts )
- Call requirements include one weeknight call per week ) and one weekend (48 hrs) of call approximately every 6-7 weeks
- No regularly scheduled weekend hours outside of call
- Standard OR equipment used
- EPIC EMR
- Low census floating may be requested for 1:1 coverage on other units, though not regular
- Preferred experience in Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, General, and ENT service lines
- Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required for call coverage
- Minimum 5 years of OR circulating experience required
- Experience in a smaller facility OR setting preferred
- Experience across multiple surgical service lines required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required
- Circulating RN responsibilities include supporting surgical procedures and assisting with room turnovers
- Team-oriented unit culture where all staff, including travelers, are treated equally
- Floating between facilities within a 25-mile radius may be required as needed
- Scrubs provided by the OR department
- Candidates located within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility are considered local and are not eligible for assignment renewals or extensions
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
