Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg day shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
• BLS and other AHA certifications required, with non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA required before start
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Work in the Med Surg General unit of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Float policy requires floating within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility are considered local
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone use are prohibited on the unit
