Must-Have:
- Ability to manage a general ED patient population, including a variety of conditions such as abdominal pain, CHF, chest pain, trauma, respiratory illnesses, seizures, and more.
- Skills required include management of ICU holdovers, insulin drips, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, central lines, BiPAPs, vents (with physician management), procedural sedation, RSI levels, and triaging.
Description:
Immediate start needed.
Interviews with management will be conducted.
The facility is a critical access hospital with a bed capacity for medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department patients.
Patient ratios are 1:4 for RNs, with both shifts depending on acuity.
CNA ratios are 1:10 for both shifts.
Support on the unit includes a charge nurse who carries a patient assignment and a nursing supervisor who assists with patient care when on shift.
Most shifts are covered by two RNs and may include support from CNAs or other staff when needed.
Travelers are expected to work at least 1 or 2 holidays based on the rotation.
Scrub colors must be solid and professional.
Weekend rotation will be every other weekend.
RTO requests require manager approval; complimentary clinical interviewing services are not included.
