Midcoast Animal Emergency Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to our team as a full-time associate.

Midcoast Animal Emergency Clinic is an exemplary Rarebreed practice located in Warren, Maine. They are a community‑founded after‑hours emergency clinic that provides coverage for the surrounding area on nights, weekends and holidays. Their state‑of‑the‑art hospital offers emergency and urgent care to small animals, as well as overnight care for member veterinary hospitals. They are equipped to provide the highest standard of medical care, including comprehensive in‑house blood chemistry, complete blood count testing, as well as digital X‑ray, ultrasound, a surgical suite and pharmacy.

Warren, Maine is a scenic town situated on both sides of the St. Georges River in midcoast Maine. The town is a peaceful getaway with beautiful coastal access, recreation and one of the lowest tax rates in the region! Easily accessible from nearby Rockland, and under two hours away from Portland, this is a growing community with Northeast charm.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
  • Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
  • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
  • Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals

REQUIREMENTS
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree or equivalent degree required
  • 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
  • Internship training is also preferred but not required
  • Ability to attain ME Veterinary License
