ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER VACANCY Towns of Manchester, Monmouth & Winthrop
The Towns of Manchester, Monmouth, and Winthrop are accepting applications for a part-time, on-call Animal Control Officer (ACO).
This position is employed by the Town of Manchester and serves all three municipalities through an inter-local agreement.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Assisting residents with animal-related complaints
- Investigating and maintaining complaint records
- Transporting a variety of animals
- Inspecting kennels within the three-town jurisdiction
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Must obtain Maine Animal Control Officer certification within six (6) months of appointment
- Annual training required
- $10,000 annual stipend
- $23/hour call-out rate
