Location: Wiscasset

Position

Turning and Positioning (T&P) Quality Assurance Technician, full‑time,
Weekend Shift (6:00AM‑6:00PM), Wiscasset, ME.

Required Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and works well in teams or independently.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to perform detailed repetitive tasks with precision.
  • Proficient in the use of problem‑solving tools to analyze root causes and verify corrective actions.
  • Proven success working in a team‑based environment and meeting performance measures with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make well‑reasoned decisions independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime to meet production goals.
  • Approximately 25% of workdays are spent sitting (data entry, meetings, filling out forms and checklists).
  • Approximately 75% of workdays are spent walking or standing (traveling to and from work areas).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, and grasping.
  • Close and color vision required.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Experience in production, manufacturing or a related environment preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform physical testing of finished goods in accordance with product specifications.
  • Review all device history records prior to release under the authority of the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer/Supervisor.
  • Conduct incoming raw material inspections for compliance with company specifications.
  • Perform validation material testing as required.
  • Data mining for trend analysis and improvement projects.
  • Assist with instrument calibrations to meet the calibration schedule.
  • Maintain and review applicable quality documents and records for compliance with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
  • Investigate and respond to external customer complaints via the Electronic Customer Complaint module.
  • Create and monitor Non‑Conformances (NCs) and ensure closure through the Electronic Inventory Control system.
  • Monitor changes to standard operating procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare required product release documents and assist with final product verifications prior to shipment.
  • Interface with other departmental staff to resolve quality system issues and complaints.
  • Assist, when needed, with audits of quality system processes related to T&P.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve EHS, production, and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay rate: $25.28 per hour to start.
  • Shift differential: $2.00 per hour for hours between 5:30 PM and 5:30 AM.

Hazard & Physical Demands

This position's functional demands require working around or near equipment that may be hazardous to individuals with pacemaker equipment. Approximately 25% of the workdays are spent sitting; 75% walking or standing. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear a respirator.
