Assistant Team Lead – Planer Mill 2nd Shift (White Pine Operation, Dixfield, Maine)

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in safety, quality, and KPI management and employee engagement.
  • Supervise the maintenance team of millwrights and collaborate with other supervisors and managers.
  • Meet established production specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Analyze production and operational trends to identify problems and recommend solutions that improve machine‑center performance.
  • Assess employee performance and provide feedback to help reach planer mill KPIs.
  • Perform related tasks that support the success of the mill and drive employee performance and engagement.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Strong commitment to safety and an understanding of behavior‑based safety programs.
  • Experience in process improvement is an asset.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop a career.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a multidisciplinary environment with high detail orientation.
  • Organizational, prioritizing, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
