About The Role
The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and verifying the quality and safety of incoming raw potatoes and finished frozen products. This role ensures compliance with internal specifications, regulatory standards (FDA, USDA where applicable), and food safety programs including BRCGS, HACCP, and GMPs. The Inspector plays a critical role in preventing non-conforming materials from entering or leaving the production process while supporting efficient production flow and maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

What You’ll Be Doing- Inspect incoming raw potatoes for size, defects, rot, foreign material, and overall quality
- Verify supplier compliance with product specifications and contractual requirements
- Collect, document, and manage samples for testing (e.g., solids, sugar levels, defects)
- Inspect finished frozen products for color, texture, size, uniformity, and defects
- Monitor critical control points including metal detection, weight checks, and in-process quality checks
- Communicate non-conforming material issues to Quality Assurance (QA) and Production teams
- Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and documentation in a timely manner
- Support internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready conditions
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP requirements, and sanitation protocols
- Identify, report, and elevate food safety risks or contamination concerns promptly
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, and Procurement to resolve quality issues
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials and samples
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related role preferred
- Working knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMPs, and BRCGS preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in cold and industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills across multiple functions
- Reliable attendance, with willingness to work flexible or extended hours during peak periods
- Commitment to safety practices, including proper PPE use and adherence to all safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (10–40 lbs.), standing for extended periods, and continuous movement

Compensation PackageStarting at $20/hour plus $1.50 Shift Differential.
