Description of the Subject Area

You will mainly work in the LIV project "The Impact of Lifestyle on Health", which is a large prospective longitudinal cohort study including adults with alcohol use disorders (AUD). The aim of the project is to study the long-term outcomes after dependency treatment and the significance of changes in alcohol use and other lifestyle factors on health. The project will help develop and improve healthcare for AUD and increase understanding of how lifestyle factors affect health in the long term.

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage deeply with studies at differing stages of completion, develop strong analytical and scientific writing skills, and make tangible contributions to high-impact research within a relatively short timeframe.

The Research Specialist will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and in collaboration with other members of the research team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Data management of clinical and register-based datasets
  • Conducting quantitative statistical, and when applicable qualitative, analyses
  • Supporting the interpretation and contextualization of research findings

  • Contributing to the preparation, revision, and submission of scientific manuscripts and presentations
  • Reviewing and organizing existing project materials, including statistical scripts, datasets, and manuscript drafts
  • Updating and refining statistical analyses using longitudinal data
  • Conducting data quality control of complex datasets
  • Supporting the documentation and reproducibility of analytical workflows
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of competitive research proposals.
