Line cook

The Rack at Sugarloaf is looking for line/prep cooks and dishwashers for the upcoming 26-27 season. We are a fast paced kitchen that puts emphasis on serving high quality, tasty dinners. We strive to treat employees with respect and value the work life balance. We are a dinner only restaurant. This leaves time to enjoy the slopes, off road trails, and other hobbies in the western mountains.

Experience is not required but is a plus. Pay is based off experience. Our crew has a great vibe and laugh and work hard in a kind atmosphere. We offer serv safe training for those in need of a certification. Our winter season runs from mid November to the end of April with opportunities for year round employment!

• Prepare ingredients and assist with food production to ensure timely meal service
• Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency and quality in all dishes
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food prep tools
• Maintain cleanliness by adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing protocols
• Support the culinary team with meal assembly, portioning, and plating for various menu items
• Uphold high standards of food handling and safety management throughout all kitchen activities

• Strong knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitizing practices, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Proficiency in food preparation techniques such as braising, grilling, poaching, and general cooking skills
• Knife skills with attention to detail in ingredient handling and portioning
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• High-volume production experience preferred for efficient meal assembly during busy periods
