Position Overview

We are seeking two Assistant Corporate Merchants to join our Merchandising team, supporting the Outerwear and Equipment categories. In these roles, you will help drive sales, gross margin, brand positioning, and profitability by supporting the selection, pricing, and promotion of merchandise that maximizes return on investment. You will also play a key role in developing and executing category strategies, leveraging sales analysis and trend insights to drive business growth, and collaborating cross‑functionally with partners across Retail Merchandising, Ecommerce, Merchandise Planning, Product Development, Design, Inventory Management, and Creative.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning and support as a learner: concept ideation, market research, competitive analysis, and new product ideas.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions and provide input for Division‑level concepts, items, and promotional strategies.
  • Gather market data and create reports on ratings and reviews, market basket, and support preseason/ in‑season assessments.
  • Maintain and ensure data integrity for various systems, communicate changes to stakeholders, and manage the photo sample process as applicable.
  • Analyze sales performance and marketplace information to identify opportunities and risks; review sales, receipt flow, inventory, and margin projections to maximize sales and minimize risks.
  • Provide support and coordination for the team and may manage a subset of the demand center (e.g., belts).
  • Communicate with cross‑department groups and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Health and safety: ensure a safe and healthy workplace, follow safety policies, and report unsafe conditions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Organization and prioritization skills; ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines.
  • Merchandise and institutional process knowledge preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Team player capable of working effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
  • Creative problem‑solving abilities.
  • Flexibility in an ever‑changing, fast‑paced environment.
