What You’ll DoAs an Assistant Manager, you’ll support daily store operations and team performance while helping deliver an excellent customer experience:
- Lead, coach, and support team members to provide fast, friendly service
- Assist with day-to-day operations including opening/closing, shift execution, and store readiness
- Help create schedules aligned with business needs and labor targets
- Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
- Ensure shelves, coolers, and displays are fully stocked and properly merchandised
- Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance
- Assist with cash handling, POS transactions, and daily reporting
- Ensure compliance with alcohol, tobacco, lottery, food safety, and fuel regulations
- Support deli and food service operations as needed, following Freshies® standards
- Respond to customer concerns and ensure a positive experience
- Communicate operational needs, issues, and opportunities to leadership
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Retail, food service, or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and handheld technology
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus
