job summary:
We have an immediate need for an IT Cabling & Installer - Field Services to join our network infrastructure team. The IT Cabling and Installer delivers onsite field services in support of network infrastructure projects and operational needs. This role focuses on executing structured cabling, equipment installations, and service work according to defined scopes, work orders, and project timelines.
This is an onsite position to facilitate with the team and colleagues in-person at our headquarters in Freeport, Maine. Will need to have transportation to travel to other Freeport, Brunswick and Lewiston, Maine locations, including after-hours and on-call.

responsibilities:
Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling including fiber, Cat5e, Cat6, etc.
Perform cable routing through ceilings, walls, conduit, and cable pathways
Install patch panels, racks, and cable management systems
Execute installations based on site surveys and work orders
Install network devices such as access points, cameras, and communications equipment
Provide onsite troubleshooting and support
Perform basic network activities and preventative maintenance
Document completed work and obtain site sign-off
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety guidelines including working at heights and lift operation
Coordinate with site teams and ensure minimal disruption
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Expectations
Operate independently with minimal supervision
Meet timelines and quality standards
Support off-hours or weekend work as required
qualifications:BICSI certification or equivalent ICT infrastructure design experience (structured cabling and IT installation services) preferred
Hands-on experience with copper and fiber
Ability to read diagrams and follow work orders
Strong troubleshooting skills
Success Measures
On-time completion of installations
High-quality workmanship with minimal rework
Accurate documentation and testing results
