As a Termite Technician, you will protect customers’ properties from wood‑destroying organisms. You are the first line of defense, providing inspections, prevention, and treatment services that bring peace of mind to our customers.
Responsibilities- Identify customer termite problems and use knowledge of termite behaviors to determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Communicate critical conditions that encourage termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may supplement treatment.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services offered.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp, and dusty locations.
- Prepare the job site for treatment.
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Comfortably work 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces.
- Have general labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, or attic experience (plus).
- Work on roofs and high areas.
- Move frequently—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator and work safely in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal your face).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- At least one year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexible with working hours, Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Basic math skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across units, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and following product‑label mixing instructions.
