- University of Maine – UM Admin Physical Plant
- Full time, regular, 40‑hour week, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Service & Maintenance (TEAMSTERS)
Full‑time, regular position. Base pay $27.60 per hour (or equivalent transfer/promotion rate).
Responsibilities- Perform routine and non‑routine work in department operations and maintenance, including electrical system inspection, repair and maintenance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot assigned systems; process and respond to work orders to ensure progress, safety, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain and repair assigned equipment; conduct ongoing maintenance checks for safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain operational records, logs, and reports.
- Assist on larger projects by completing assigned steps and performing basic machine and equipment repairs under supervision.
- Perform system checks and monitor performance of systems.
- Conduct defined system or mechanical updates and repairs.
- Respond to a full range of service calls while adhering to safety procedures.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with university departments and other skilled trades.
- Perform maintenance in multiple skilled trades as needed.
- Develop cost estimates for projects and order supplies from approved vendors.
- Apply advanced knowledge to maintenance projects and service calls.
- Provide work direction and assignments to staff on project sites, and determine worksite priorities.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Three years of related electrical experience.
- Customer service principles.
- Specialized equipment and system maintenance and repair.
- Maintenance of related equipment.
- Applicable compliance with rules and regulations.
- Inspecting, installing, and repairing systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform activities requiring lifting, bending, walking, standing, and repetitive use of arms and legs.
