Job Description Summary
This position is for an Instrument/Electrical (I/E) technician who will perform basic and mid‑level I/E craft tasks while receiving formal training and mentoring within the I/E organization. The incumbent may coach and/or mentor employees at the entry‑level or trainee level. Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and adjustment of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical equipment within an industrial manufacturing plant environment.
Responsibilities- Understand and apply Industrial Safety requirements for Instrument and Electrical crafts.
- Use common tools of the Instrument/Electrical crafts and electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Work on Instrumentation Calibration, Pneumatic Control Valves, and Process Control Loops.
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical codes, manuals, procedures, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
- Properly document all repair activities and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities.
- Continuously acquire basic knowledge of processes involved in the production units.
- Promote safe and effective work, document work in SAP CMMS, and train and mentor others on precision maintenance principles.
- High school Diploma required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 2 years’ experience required.
- Sound knowledge in E&I and Process Controls.
- Familiar with various temperature, pressure, and flow instrumentation.
- Program and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives.
- Knowledge of Delta V and RS3 is a plus.
- Computer skills, including standard software and SAP.
- Able to use basic E&I test equipment / Driver Explorer, RsLinx, AMS and standard software.
- Install, rebuild, and pressure test control and stop valves.
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The pay range for this position is: $61,200-$102,000.
