Required Skills / Attributes
- Strong blue print reading skills from shop drawing or engineered drawings
- Strong knowledge of fit-up procedures
- Strong knowledge of weld symbols, using CWB procedures
- Strong knowledge of fitting small and large weldments using layout tools and fixtures
- Read and understand measuring instruments (e.g., tape measure, square, level, etc.)
- Ability to detect weld defect and non‑conforming parts
- Know how to operate and set up MIG welding equipment
- Valid CWB tickets are an asset or willingness to test to earn CWB tickets
- Saw cutting operation
- Pipe bender operation
- Stick welding (SMAW)
- Cutting torches / hand‑held plasma
- Experience maintaining industrial equipment
- Fork truck operation
- Overhead crane operation
- Some heavy lifting required
