Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products-Gallatin is seeking applicants for Maintenance Technician position(s). The Maintenance Technician will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by performing routine preventive breakdown and upgrade maintenance as necessary in order to improve the production equipment and process during the course of normal production hours. Duties include, but are not limited to repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgment, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHAs, SJPs, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained, all of which are necessary for meeting job expectations and the prevention of downtime. General mechanical and electrical knowledge is necessary as well as willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance Once trained, must be able to properly lock-out all required equipment and assist other teammates in doing so. Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments. Must be able to clearly and efficiently document completed in work in D365 asset management system. Willing to work overtime to meet training requirements and increase skillset as needed.

General industrial electrical experience. Basic welding and fabrication skills. Knowledge of LOTOTO

Preferred Qualifications:

2 year technical degree Participation in Safety teams or programs
