POSITION SUMMARY:

KBS Builders is seeking an experienced Exterior Trim Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience. This position requires skill in various aspects of finish work, including installing interior and exterior trim. We are seeking a carpenter who enjoys performing their work with precision and a high level of craftsmanship.

PRIMARY

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Measure, cut, and install interior and exterior trim materials, cabinetry, shelving, and other related products.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy and precision with all work in a variety of materials, including wood, PVC, and composites.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and design plans to execute precise trim work.
  • Communicate with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, adjusting as needed.
  • Other work as directed.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a trim carpenter
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy (50+lbs) equipment and tools as necessary.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, ladders, and standing for extended periods.
  • Able to bend and twist at the hip and work overhead.
