Job Summary
Responsible for installing, wiring, and testing electrical systems in modular home units within a factory environment. This role ensures all electrical components are safely installed, code-compliant, and fully functional prior to transport and on-site connection.
Key Responsibilities- Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures in modular home units
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Run and secure wiring through walls, ceilings, and floors during assembly
- Install and wire electrical panels, breakers, and service equipment
- Connect lighting systems, appliances, HVAC components, and other electrical devices
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation and safety
- Ensure all work complies with national, state, and local electrical codes
- Coordinate with plumbing, carpentry, and production teams
- Prepare electrical systems for transport, ensuring components are secured and protected
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and codes (NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with wiring methods, panel installation, and circuit troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
- Experience in modular or manufactured home construction
- Familiarity with factory-based or assembly-line workflows
- Experience prepping electrical systems for transport and final site hookup
- Indoor factory or warehouse setting, Concrete floors 8-10 hours a day, overtime may be required for production needs
- Work performed inside partially completed modular home sections
- Exposure to construction materials, noise, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching
