This is a hands-on mechanical role offering the opportunity to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of equipment including excavators, loaders, road graders, dump trucks, log trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and working with heavy equipment, this could be the perfect fit.
Typical daily duties:- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on equipment and vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Complete and maintain maintenance records using a computerized work order system
- 2-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
- Trade certification, associate degree, apprenticeship, or military occupational training in a related technical field;
Maine State Inspection Technician License preferred
