We are seeking a Family Service Advocate at our Guy
E. Rowe Early Learning Center. A Family Service Advocate is part of the Family Engagement Team, providing support and resources to enrolled families in the center. This position is 20 hours and generally follows the school-year calendar.
Position starts August 2026.
- Starting range: $18.44-$19.69/hr
- Engage with families to collaboratively build partnerships to identify strengths and needs
- Maintain records, including medical and immunizations for enrolled children
- Encourage and support family’s engagement in their child’s development
- Support families in organizing activities, committees, and educational workshops
- Collaborate with families to establish a source of continuous, accessible, coordinated developmental, health, and dental care

Desired
Qualifications:
- Minimum H.S. diploma or GED, with commitment to complete credential in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field within 18 months of hire
- Minimum 1 year experience working with families and/or children
Other Requirements: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry and perform other high-energy activities; a valid driver's license; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment;
valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
