Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Maine licensure or eligibility for school social work credentials
- Previous experience in a school-based or youth-focused setting highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral strategies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work on-site, Monday-Friday, between 35-40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students
- Collaborate with school staff and families to create and implement intervention plans
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams (IEPs, 504s) to advocate for appropriate services
- Deliver group and individual counseling sessions as needed
- Serve as a liaison for connecting families to community resources
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district policies
