Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Maine licensure or eligibility for school social work credentials
• Previous experience in a school-based or youth-focused setting highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral strategies
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site, Monday-Friday, between 35-40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students
• Collaborate with school staff and families to create and implement intervention plans
• Conduct assessments to determine student needs and progress
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (IEPs, 504s) to advocate for appropriate services
• Deliver group and individual counseling sessions as needed
• Serve as a liaison for connecting families to community resources
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district policies
