Lead Fullstack Engineer - Javascript

Location: Stockholm

What you will do
• Work on specific problem spaces critical to Klarna's needs, with opportunities to switch teams as both you and our fast-paced business evolve.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of JavaScript-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across both frontend and backend.
• Work with modern technologies such as Type Script, Node.js, React, and React Native to build seamless and scalable solutions.
• Utilize cloud technologies, primarily AWS, to develop and deploy services.
• Engage in the full project lifecycle-from conception to deployment and beyond-ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Klarna to align on integration strategies and optimize system architecture.
• Drive an engineering culture within the team, emphasizing innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues in our distributed and financial systems.
• Work in small autonomous teams with short release cycles. Who you are
• Proficient in Type Script and JavaScript, with strong experience in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React / React Native).
• Experienced in architecting and building scalable, robust systems across the stack.
• Skilled with cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• Adept in distributed systems, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate issues proactively.
• Independent, able to manage projects end-to-end and contribute to technical direction.
• A strong communicator, capable of collaborating effectively across teams and domains.
• Experience mentoring others and contributing to a positive engineering culture.
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English. Awesome to have
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with REST and/or Graph

QL APIs.
• Experience with tools such as Kafka, Docker, Jenkins, Datadog, or Splunk.
