Senior Backend Developer
We are looking for a senior backend developer with strong experience in Java and system integration to strengthen a team that develops future digital solutions for traffic management and vehicle data.
You will be an important part of designing and optimizing real-time data flows, where multiple systems need to communicate quickly and reliably to create an accurate picture of vehicles, stations, and traffic.
The job involves high demands on availability, performance, and robustness.
RoleIn the role, you will work on:
- Designing and developing integration layers for real-time data
- Ensuring cache and synchronization strategies that offload the database
- Building solutions with high availability and low latency
- Managing errors, disruptions, and recovery in high-demand systems
- Collaborating closely with developers, architects, and product owners for stable delivery of data to multiple user interfaces
Here you will work on solutions that have real impact on how traffic information is perceived and used in real time.
We Are Looking For You Who HaveAt least 5 years of experience with Java (modern versions)
Experience with real-time data, integration solutions, and distributed systems
Ability to connect multiple data sources in a robust and scalable way
Experience with cache strategies and optimization to offload databases
Understanding of performance, data modeling, and low latency
Experience with cloud-based environments and Kubernetes
MeritableExperience with geo- and position data (GIS/visualization)
Knowledge of pub/sub, event streaming, or queue-based architecture
Experience with observability/logging/monitoring in real-time applications
PracticalStart: February 2026 Scope: 100%, initially 12 months Work Format: Hybrid (2–3 days/week on-site in central Stockholm) Languages: Swedish + English
