We are now looking for a committed and development-oriented Local Transport Manager who wants to take responsibility for people, safety, and operations in a business where every delivery makes a difference.

About the Role

As a Local Transport Manager, you have an operational leadership responsibility within our Swedish transport business. You lead and develop our drivers, ensure that the business is operated in accordance with applicable legislation, collective agreements, and internal requirements, and drive active work within safety, quality, and efficiency.

You are responsible for creating conditions for a safe, engaging, and well-functioning work environment where our drivers can perform and develop. Through coaching, feedback, and competence development, you contribute to strengthening both individuals' and teams' performance.

The role involves close cooperation with both local and national functions. You are a part of the Swedish management group for the transport business and contribute with operational perspective, leadership, and insights from daily operations.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop drivers
• Ensure a safe and effective transport operation
• Be responsible for scheduling and staffing
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, and transport regulations
• Follow up on performance, quality, safety, and business results
• Conduct development and performance reviews
• Drive improvement work in safety, efficiency, and employee engagement
• Be responsible for the follow-up of the vehicle fleet and equipment
• Contribute to strategic and operational development work within Swedish transport operations

In the role, you need to have a good understanding of the practical operations.

We welcome you to have:

• Experience in personnel management and operational management
• Experience from transport, logistics, or distribution operations
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety issues
• Ability to analyze operational data and turn insights into improvements
• Good understanding of labor law and collective agreements
• Good communicative ability and confidence in collaborating with different levels and functions in the organization, in both Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from ADR operations
• C driver's license
• ADR certification
• Experience of leadership in safety-critical operations
