Equipment Delivery & Yard Associate
Now seeking a dependable Equipment Delivery & Yard Associate to join a well-established business in Houlton. This is a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working with equipment, and providing excellent customer service. The Equipment Delivery & Yard Associate will assist with the delivery, pickup, cleaning, and general maintenance of equipment. Responsibilities will also include helping set up and tear down tents, loading and unloading items, organizing the yard, and assisting customers and coworkers as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a reliable employment history, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with equipment, deliveries, general labor, maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a similar hands-on position is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and pick up equipment at customer locations.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment.
- Clean, wash, and grease equipment after it is returned.
- Inspect equipment and report damage or maintenance concerns.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down tents and other items.
- Move and organize equipment throughout the yard and facility.
- Help prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with other general labor, equipment, and facility duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Class C driver's license and a safe driving history required.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
- Dependable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Mechanical ability or familiarity with tools and equipment is helpful.
- Previous delivery, construction, maintenance, warehouse, equipment, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work approximately every third Saturday once fully trained.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and other items.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely assist with moving equipment and setting up or tearing down tents.
