Our Warehouse in Freeport, Maine is searching for temporary workers to join our team! Join the L.L.Bean team - an iconic Maine brand for over 100 years! From our Freeport, Maine distribution center, we help ensure customers across the country receive the quality products they know and trust—and our warehouse team makes it all happen. As we look ahead to the busy holiday season, we’re hiring for multiple warehouse roles on both 1st and 2nd shifts, offering opportunities to be part of a fast-moving, team-driven environment.

Some of these positions are available starting this summer, while others are available in the fall. But no matter the start date, all of these jobs play a direct role in delivering the L.L.Bean experience. This is active, hands-on work. Whether you’re moving product, preparing customer orders, or operating equipment, every task matters. Here is some basic info about our warehouse jobs:
Pay range is $18.00 - $25.00/hr., depending on position, shift, and rehire experience. 1st Shift Hours are between 6:30am-3:30pm. Days of operation are Sunday–Friday, with potential for Saturday pick-up shifts according to business needs. 2nd Shift Hours are between 4:00pm-1:00am. Days of operation are Sunday–Thursday, with potential for Friday shifts according to business needs. Minimum availability:
Candidates must be available at least 18 hours per week (three 6-hour days) Maximum availability: potential for 40+ hours per week (actual hours worked are based on business need) These are temporary roles that are expected to last through the holiday peak season and may continue through February 2027, depending on business needs.

Be sure to check them out! Packing – Scan items out of totes, verify orders, generate outbound shipping documents, and pack orders. Packing Video Ability to stand entire shift.

Basic math and ability to understand, speak and read English. Experienced using computers, familiar with Windows based applications, able to learn new applications quickly. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and /or change tasks frequently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Physical demands – Stand entire shift. Ability to reach 57” from the floor; lift, pull, and lower totes weighing between 11-30lbs for entire shift.

Reach over shoulder repeatedly. Picking – Use a hand-held scanner and mobile task device, collect selected units into totes and transfer to conveyor belts. Picking Video Able to perform basic and repetitive computer functions alone with ability to learn new computer systems. Ability to walk entire shift, between 6-8 miles, and use a step ladder. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to multitask and /or change tasks frequently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Basic math and ability to understand, speak, and read English. Physical demands
- Walk /stand entire shift. Frequently lift up to 10lbs. Climb ladders and stairs to access upper shelves, crouching to access lower shelf. Weight limit for pick carts is 300-350lbs. Pack Monogramming – Primary job is to safely operate a computerized monogramming machine used to personalize items for customers. May also be trained in Pack Seasonal job as needed per business conditions.
