JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor plans, organizes, and monitors the daily operations of the warehouse, including freight processing, shipping, inventory control, and store distribution activities. This position ensures merchandise is processed accurately and efficiently while supervising warehouse associates, coordinating logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The Warehouse Supervisor works collaboratively with Receiving, Logistics, and other departments to support operational goals and timely store deliveries.
- Maintains staffing levels necessary to accomplish warehouse operations in an efficient and productive manner.
- Interviews, trains, coaches, and develops warehouse associates.
- Supervises approximately 15–20 employees and assigns daily workloads.
- Creates freight splits (worksheets) from Buyers' information to facilitate accurate merchandise distribution.
- Oversee operations within Split area and store row staging areas.
- Manage shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely store deliveries.
- Coordinates the loading and unloading of trailers while maintaining safety standards.
- Partners with Logistics to ensure efficient delivery schedules and resolve transportation issues.
- Supervises the inventory crew and ensures quarterly cycle counts are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Works collaboratively with Receiving to move freight from the receiving department into warehouse processing areas.
- Monitors warehouse operations for productivity, accuracy, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Promotes all aspects of Marden's safety policies and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provides ongoing coaching and feedback to warehouse employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, including key carrier responsibilities.
