Night Shipping Warehouse Supervisor

Performance Food Group seeks a Night Shipping Warehouse Supervisor to lead night shift outbound operations in a fast-paced food service distribution center. This role oversees a team of selectors and loaders, ensuring orders are picked, staged, and loaded accurately and on time. Responsibilities include scheduling, coaching, and monitoring performance, enforcing safety and food-handling standards, coordinating with transportation and inventory teams, and resolving shipping issues.

The supervisor drives a safety-first, customer-focused culture while supporting continuous improvement, associate development, and operational efficiency across the warehouse night shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise night shift warehouse staff handling outbound shipping activities.
• Plan, assign, and monitor order selection, staging, and loading to meet cut-off times.
• Ensure accuracy of orders, proper pallet building, and compliance with customer and company standards.
• Enforce safety, OSHA, and food-handling policies, conducting regular safety checks.
• Coordinate with transportation, inventory, and operations teams to resolve shipping or slotting issues.
• Train, coach, and evaluate associates, providing feedback and supporting career development.
• Monitor performance metrics, labor utilization, and productivity, recommending process improvements.
• Oversee use of WMS, RF scanners, and material handling equipment for efficient operations.
• Support inventory integrity by addressing discrepancies and damage during shipping.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement on the night shift.
