Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, workload management, and performance support
- Oversee high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and payment accuracy across multiple entities
- Review invoice approvals, vendor maintenance, W-9 documentation, and 1099 reporting to ensure compliance
- Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor inquiries, payment issues, and accounts payable discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports, AP metrics, utilities, rent schedules, and other departmental reporting
- Partner with accounting leadership to strengthen internal controls and improve AP processes and efficiencies
- Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and audit requests
- Train, mentor, and develop Accounts Payable team members while promoting continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
- 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of vendor management, reconciliations, W-9 administration, and 1099 processing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and other reporting functions
- Experience working in multi-entity or shared services environments preferred
- Strong understanding of AP controls, workflow management, and process improvement
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
