Be our next Mechanical Designer

Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Mechanical team, for Hospitality, Entertainment, Federal and Healthcare HVAC Design projects in the Maitland FL office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

* Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms

* Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE)

* Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff

* Layout air and water side systems on working drawings

* Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application

* Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products

* Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects

* Coordinate with other disciplines (mep, fp, arch, struct, etc) for HVAC details

* Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects

* Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan

* Understand both constant and variable flow systems, and properly apply equipment

What your experience looks like

* 0 to 2 years in designing HVAC systems for Hospitality, Entertainment and Healthcare projects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.

* A Engineering Bachelor's degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering

* Auto CAD, REVIT MEP familiar

* Good Written and verbal communication

* EIT Certification is desired.
