Position SummaryIn this position, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing data processes within our Data Warehouse/Data Lake environments. You should have a strong foundation in ETL systems, SQL development, and relational databases. Your work will ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data pipelines, directly contributing to project success. A background in data analysis and visualization, with expertise in SQL, is essential.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver insights and support data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders on data flows, scripts, and models using SQL, Snap Logic, and other ETL tools, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Assist in developing and testing new features, models, or data processes in our data warehouses, leveraging feedback for continuous improvement.
- Document data processes, models, and workflows for internal knowledge sharing and learning.
- Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the data lifecycle by implementing validation and cleansing processes.
- Maintain security protocols and data governance practices to ensure compliance.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues in ETL projects and data environments.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, or similar tools.
- Implement best practices in data governance and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on SQL development (MS SQL Server preferred).
- Proficiency in relational databases and data querying techniques.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data integration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and work independently or in teams.
- Ability to perform essential functions safely and effectively.
- Regular attendance and the ability to sit, stand, or bend for extended periods.
- Clear communication over the phone.
