Job Title: Insurance Defense Paralegal

Location: Orlando, FL

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in insurance defense litigation

We are seeking an insurance defense paralegal for a well-established law firm in Orlando specializing in insurance defense litigation.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality legal services in a law firm environment, as a skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys and help manage a fast-paced caseload efficiently.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and must be proficient in legal billing software. This role requires a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who can manage case files, coordinate with clients, and assist in all aspects of litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks.
• Conduct legal research and summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery responses.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Prepare and submit attorney billing using legal billing software (experience with systems such as Bill4
  
  Time, Clio, or Timeslips is preferred).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in insurance defense litigation.
• Proficiency in legal billing software and timekeeping processes.
• Strong knowledge of Florida court rules and e-filing procedures.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and work independently.
• Paralegal certification or degree preferred but not required.
