Job Summary

Alsym Energy is looking for a high-energy, AI-native Technical Marketing Manager to serve as the "engine room" of our marketing department. You will report directly to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for translating our breakthrough battery technology into compelling content, managing key aspects of our digital presence, and ensuring our marketing operations perform seamlessly.

This is a role for a technical storyteller who loves to execute. You will move fast, leverage modern tools to 10x your output, and take extreme ownership of how Alsym is perceived by prospects, partners, and the media.

Industry Background

Energy storage is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global energy economy, with annual stationary storage capacity additions projected to grow 23% per year from 2025 to 2035, driven by surging electricity demand from electrification, data centers, and AI infrastructure. Yet lithium-ion—the dominant technology—remains plagued by inherent flammability risks, high-profile fires that have eroded public trust, and fragile supply chains.

Alsym Energy is developing non‑flammable, high-performance sodium‑ion batteries that solve these fundamental limitations to enable a new generation of safe and cost‑effective energy storage based on globally abundant sodium.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Technical Content Creation:
Develop a high volume of quality assets, including technical blog posts, Linked In articles, white papers, videos, and sales enablement tools (pitch decks, one‑pagers, FAQs).
  • AI‑Driven Workflow:
An "AI‑First" marketer using LLMs and generative tools to draft content, research competitors, and automate repetitive marketing tasks to maintain a fast pace of delivery.
  • Social Media & Community:
Own Alsym’s Linked In presence. Draft posts, engage with industry thought leaders, and monitor conversations to ensure Alsym is part of the global battery dialogue.
  • Agency Liaison:
Support the Head of Marketing in managing our PR and creative agencies. Provide the technical "raw materials" they need to succeed.
  • Operational Support:
General "marketing ops" support—managing reporting and measurement including content performance and various aspects of the tech stack, including the CRM as needed, and supporting event and field operations logistics.
Key Qualifications
  • 3–5 Years

    Experience:

Must have 3–5 year’s experience in a fast‑paced marketing role. Technical science degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, math, or similar required. Nice to have:
Clean Tech, Energy, or a "Hard Tech" B2B environment. Small company experience desired.
  • AI Mindset: A toolkit of AI prompts and platforms that help you work faster and smarter than the average marketer.
  • Technical Mindset:
Not required to be a chemist, but must explain why non‑flammable sodium‑ion batteries are a game‑changer for the data centre or grid‑storage sectors.
  • Toolset Literate:
Ability to learn and adopt marketing tech stack quickly. Experience with AI, Gemini, Hub Spot, Canva, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Linked In, Plausible, Word Press, You Tube. Graphic design abilities a plus.
  • "Doer" Mentality:
Comfortable researching/ writing a 2,000‑word technical deep dive as well as coordinating the shipping of a battery prototype to a trade show in Europe.
  • Communication:
Exceptional writing skills are non‑negotiable. Turn a complex engineering brief into a punchy, professional Linked In post in minutes.
