Summerbridge Student Support (2 Positions)
Qualifications (Required):
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher or Administrator Certification.
- Successful teaching, coaching, and/or administrative experience.
- Ability to implement positive behavioral interventions and support with restorative practice strategies.
- Ability to tailor academic and language development support for learners and support teachers in adjusting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our learners
- Ability to provide specially designed instruction in alignment to student IEPs and support teachers in adjusting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of our learners
- Relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- The Student Support Specialist must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement.
- Special Education License
- Bilingual and/or ability to efficiently use language support and communication platforms
- Coaching and/or Supervision experience.
- Previous experience with summer and/or intervention programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duration:
Program Administration and Implementation 64 hours total to include the following:
- 16 days [4 hours], Monday-Thursday, from July 6 - July 30 (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
Stipend: $40 an hour, $2,560
