Music Teacher (Grades K–8) at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS). MVRCS seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Music Teacher to lead and implement its music program for students in Kindergarten through Grade
8. Instruction is aligned with the Core Knowledge curriculum and emphasizes musical literacy, artistic expression, performance, and skill development.

• Deliver high‑quality music instruction aligned with the documented curriculum and school standards.
• Design and implement engaging lessons with clear, measurable learning objectives.
• Foster student growth in music appreciation, theory, performance, and musicianship.
• Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records of achievement.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports and report cards in accordance with school expectations.
• Collaborate with fellow Specials teachers and participate in weekly department meetings.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and the assigned Assistant Director.
• Implement the school's assertive discipline model to maintain a structured and positive learning environment.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, school events, and performances.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration.

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of music instruction and curriculum development for elementary and middle school students.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community members.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and classroom management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and sound professional judgment.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support a diverse range of learners.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal educational requirements.
• Demonstrated collaboration, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Successful completion of required MTEL examinations within one year of employment.

This is a full‑time, school‑year position. Employment is based on annual appointments and is subject to yearly performance evaluation. Position Type:
Full‑time.
