Qualifications (Required)- Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
- Successful teaching experience.
- Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum students within sub‑separate and inclusion classes.
- Ability to relate / communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Commitment to be present for each day of the program.
- Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
- SEI Endorsement.
- License in Moderate Special Education.
- Plan and implement ESY tutoring for students on IEP’s.
- Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
- Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
- Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.
- Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
Program Administration and Implementation: 103 hours total, including:
- Professional In‑service Days (date TBD, 3 hours).
- 20 days, Monday‑Thursday, from July 6 – August 6 (7:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.).
Stipend: $40 per hour, $4,120 total (20 days × 5 hrs + 1 in‑service day at 3 hrs)
Funding Source: Special Education
