Material Handler, Forklift Operator
About The Opportunity
The Material Handler will play an important role in supporting daily operations by moving parts and materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and keeping the warehouse organized. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting who is sharp, dependable, and eager to learn. Strong communication and teamwork skills are key, as this role works closely with other departments to keep production running smoothly.
LocationMalden, MA
Schedule- Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- End of Month hours will vary pending workload
- Assist with the daily flow of materials in and out of the warehouse.
- Move parts, supplies, and finished goods between production areas, shipping, and storage.
- Support shipping and receiving activities including packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and transactions in warehouse systems.
- Keep warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe in compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Operate material handling equipment (with training/certification provided as needed).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Provide general support to warehouse and production teams as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or related experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Experience with inventory systems or ERP software.
- Forklift or material-handling equipment certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with basic shipping/receiving processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new tasks.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
