Experienced Technician
We are looking for an experienced appliance repair tech in Boston Metro Area. We are a Whirlpool exclusive service provider, and only work on their manufactured brands. We are also willing to train those with mechanical and electrical skills and aptitudes.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.
Needs to be personable and able to work with customers in their home. Technical background and aptitude. Know how to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Ability to learn new skills. Self starter and good work ethic is a must. Must pass background, driving and drug screening.
Specific responsibilities include accurately diagnosing and repairing appliances/equipment in the customer's home, providing cost estimates for repairs/installations and collecting payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed, ensuring the efficient use of materials and keeping company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, completing invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required, and performing other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions.
Job requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean record, being at least 18 years of age, proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology, the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances.
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
$25 to $35hr plus incentives based experience. Sealed system ability desired.
