Lead Architect - Private Residential Developer

Our client is a developer specializing in luxury, single family residential projects, delivering seamless experiences from concept to completion. This role leads design and delivery, overseeing concept development, detailing, and coordination with clients and builders while mentoring a small design team. It’s an exciting opportunity to shape exceptional homes and work at the intersection of architecture and construction!

This is role is in Malibu, CA with a fully onsite, 5 day a week in office requirement.

• Lead architectural design from concept through construction for luxury single-family homes.
• Oversee and mentor a team of designers and drafters across multiple locations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and builders to ensure design integrity and project success.
• Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and quality expectations throughout all project phases.

• Licensed architect with proven experience (7+ years) in high-end residential design and project execution required.
• Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with Enscape and Bluebeam.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; comfortable being client-facing.
• Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across design-build teams.
• Experience with luxury homes and/or design-build firms preferred.
